TORJAN GR (Fipronil 0.3% GR)
TORJAN GR is a multi-purpose insecticide designed to control a wide range of pests in crops like rice and sugarcane. It effectively combats stem borers, shoot borers, and termites. TORJAN GR is particularly effective due to its ability to work through contact, ingestion, and systemic action. It provides reliable pest control, even for insects that have developed resistance to other insecticides such as synthetic pyrethroids, organophosphates, and carbamates.
MODE OF ACTION
TORJAN GR works by blocking the GABA-regulated chloride channels in the nervous system of pests, disrupting their neural functions and leading to their death. Its multi-action approach—contact, ingestion, and systemic absorption—ensures effective pest control, targeting even resistant pests. This mechanism makes it highly effective in protecting crops from a variety of harmful insects, particularly in soil and plant-borne infestations like termites and borers.
